Woodward 2013
So, it seems that Detroit is the worst city in America, even in US history. And while this may be true, there's one thing from Detroit that hasn't failed. Cars. And there's no better proof of this then the Woodward Dream Cruise.
Started in 1994 by a local plumber to help support a local soccer field. Expecting it to be a turnout of around 30,000 to 40,000 for the first event in '95, about 250,000 people came out. Now it's over 1 million people looking at over 40,000 cars.
Making it the biggest auto event in the world.
So yes, Michigan and Detroit may not be the best state and city out there, and even I'm not the biggest fan of living here, but there is this one weekend in August that almost makes up for the problems we have.
Enough with the talking though, just enjoy an extremely brief overview of the cars that show up. Exotics? Check. Classic JDM? Check. Muscle cars new and old? Check. Cruisers? Check. Motorcycles? Check. Everything else with wheels? Check.
And oh yea, this wasn't even the official cruise, this is the Friday night before Even though the partying and cruising starts as soon as it feels like Spring and the snow is gone.
